I've been trying to get WinSCP to work with the CentOS distribution but it doesn't work
I have openssh installed but there is still something missing to get it to work.
Does anyone know what you have to install to get WinSCP to work? |

I've not used CentOS, but SCP & SFTP work fine on Debian Sarge.
What settings are you using in WinSCP? What sort of error are you getting? Can it even establish a connection?
If not check all the proper services are started (probably just sshd), and make sure your firewall isn't blocking you. |

Ok, I figured it out.
I was using the host.linode.com username login.
It worked when I went directly to the IP number and logged in as root.
