Host27 has a failing hard drive, so I want to get you guys off that machine. I've reserved Host38 as your new home. Host38 is a little faster, and has faster hard drives (SATA vs. IDE), along with a new host kernel which fixes a bunch of things wrong with the host kernel you're on now. It corrects the mysql instability problems, the Gentoo emerge failures, and strace now works correctly. The migrations are already configured.
Instructions
1. Login to the website
2. Shutdown
3. Press Migrate
4. Issue a Boot
I'd estimate about 10-20 minutes for the migration to complete.
Details
Nothing changes on your end. You keep the same IPs, configs, and your disk images move over with you.
Please complete this process by this coming Saturday (Nov 27th). I'll manually migrate Linodes that haven't done this by Saturday evening or so.
I'll be sending out email notices to those on host27 over the next day or two.
Thanks,
-Chris |

If anyone gets a "Copy failed" Host Message for any of the jobs, please file a support ticket.

| Flawless migration... as always. So far host38 is blazing fast, prolly because not everyone has switched yet... we'll find out by Saturday I guess. Keep up the good work Chris! |
