I'm running a CentOS 4 image now, and, once in a while, I've had what appears to be RPM database corruption when I've tried to run yum (or even rpm -q for that matter). Rebooting fixes the problem.

Is there some sort of disk cache corruption going on here? My system doesn't dip into swap very often, for what it's worth.
