Please cancel new account.
Payment Number: 45562
Payment Date: August 31, 2006
Took 10 min for the cc to be charged and we received payment receipt now 5~6 hours later have heard nothing.
We perfer to go with a differant provider who provides a bit more information along the way so we don't feel left out in the dark after payment is made.
We will be happy to wait 48hours for refund, after that we will just do a charge back. |

maybe im misunderstanding something, but im pretty sure these forums are not the place for problems and requests like this.
The should be sent to the email address listed on all standard linode.com pages, or via the ticketing system. |

I don't understand your logic here. You're willing to wait 48 hours for a refund, but you're not satisfied with waiting for 6 hours to hear back from linode? |

Lets see
$40 bucks is not the point; this amount could not hurt a damn thing, I spend more than this for lunch every day. Hence the “we will wait 48hr for refund”.
Our issue is a company that charges the card within 10min (automated) and then does nothing for hours on end (not automated).
If they wish to review each order, that’s also fine by us but you wait to charge the card and take the money till you have reviewed the account, are ready to activate it and have ERNED the money. If they choose not to activate the account then no charge is done at all and then it is simply a “no harm – no foul”.
If what they have is a Sanford & Son outfit, and nothing gets done while they sleep then we would prefer not to do business with them anyway. With the type of service and support we are looking for, you guys are correct; we should not even be looking at Linode as a solution provider. Maybe all you guys have to do with your time is hang around in IRC or on these forums but we have a business to run and don't have the time or the patients to wait while "someone sleeps".
This is the very reason we did not sign up for service choosing all 4 of the servers that we want and pay for them by the year. We have been down this road before and when we look to bring on new systems we ALWAYS order the smallest service offered and only for 1 month. If everything goes smoothly then we add to our service and pick up the extras we want. If they don’t/can’t live up to OUR expectations then we move on.
In this case we have decided to call it quits and move on. |

You obviously want a 24 hour managed solution so I would recommend http://www.rackspace.com . A nice dual Xeon is only $700pm, so four servers would be $2800pm. You can afford that with your lunch money.
Then thankfully you will not have to endure all us illiterate, obnoxious, backwoods hillbillies. |

We do not need a managed provider for the solution we are currently working on.
We do however, have dedicated systems currently with RackSpace and the cost is closer to $1000 per month each not $700.
I must commend you on your fine English language skills, once again I find myself in awe of the fine southern intellect this country is so greatly in need of. |

| Are you insulting Southern Americans? After an Australian called you out for being a pompous, self-righteous prig? Doesn't make a lot of sense, but I can't say I'm surprised... |

.
How can someone make this much money when they can't even spell? I'm confused. |

Seriously? I spend a third of that pigging out on burger and coffee at the local cafe, or a tenth at the work canteen. And I thought food was more expensive in europe. |
