The host froze up with no panic output. I've updated the host's kernel to our latest, and have restarted the Linodes.

I had two services running, but not configured to start up on boot.
I got calls from angry customers demanding what happened to their site.
Shame on me for not setting up more monitors and not configuring my stuff to restart on boot...
Can you create mailing list or an RSS feed or some other notification system for outages like this? An SMS message would be really nice also. |

You can build your own RSS feed at http://www.linode.com/forums/topics_anywhere.php if you like. Tell it to use RSS for the format, and to monitor just the "System and Network Status" forum. |
