|
|
Hello,
Now that I have two Linodes ("cat" and "tiger"), I am a bit confused as to which of my Linodes I am working on in the Dashboard. It would be nice to have the name of the Linode appear next to "DashBoard"; something like "DashBoard Cat" for instance. Or maybe change the sentence "Your Linode has 0 jobs" to "Your Linode "cat" has 0 jobs".
Right now, I know where I am by reading at the legend of the CPU chart, which is probably not the proper way to get that information.
Also, at the top right, there is a "switch to: Cat" button; Reading that, I would think that since I have the option of going to "cat", I should be on "tiger". Not right so, I am still on cat... This is very confusing to me, and make the above issue worse. I would make the drop down selecting the option '-' nothing.
Otherwise, Linode rocks! |

That sounds like a reasonable idea. You do realize in the upper right corner it does show your linode-name, like this:
Hello "<linode-account-name>" | Logout
Are you thinking you want like a customizable host name that would appear in the dashboard, as opposed to what it currently uses-- linode account name? I have to admit that would be very convenient for me too. I use an excel table to map linode account names to host names, and I go look them up when I need to figure out which linode to log in to. |

| Frankly, I had not seen that "hello XYZ" before a couple of minutes ago and then I checked out this thread. Well, as far as I am concerned, it is good... I can't believe I did not see that before. Anyway. Let me think about your idea. |
