| I usually like to set a cron job to regularly upgrade all my packages (I use opensuse 10.3 on my linode). However, currently there is a newer kernel in the opensuse repo than what I currently have. Is it okay to upgrade the kernel? Or would that cause a problem? |

| If you're running on UML, it doesn't make any difference - the kernel installed on your disk is irrelevant. If you're on Xen, I dunno. |

All Linode kernels are external to your filesystem. It makes no difference what kernel packages you may or may not have installed -- you'll always boot our kernels.
