What are some load average numbers examples where I would start to be conserned. |

Any time you have a whole number load average, it usually means you've got some stuck processes. What do "top" and "ps aux" show you?
If a process runs constantly with no breaks, it'll add 1 to load average. Load average also increases if there are bottlenecks, like a bunch of processes queued up waiting to read/write to disk.
