oh so the min install doe snot ahev apahce etc. is there a large install avaiable?

There is no larger image available -- it's so easy to install stuff I figured smaller was better.
For example (you can use apt-get instead of yum, btw):

I did the following in about 10 minutes and ended up with a perfectly working Invisionboard installation:

yum install httpd mysql-server mysql php php-mysql
service httpd start
service mysqld start
mysqld
create the database/user
tar zxvf 1p3Final[1].tar.gz
visit the appropriate installation page and you're done!

If you only want apache, I'd imagine that won't take more than 60secs to install!

Is there any ways to make the distro smaller like Debian Small Distro (80MB)?

I found some folks here said he use small Debian add apache,php & mysql he end up with 120MB.

You can always remove what you don't need -- otherwise, this is as small as the installer would go (and then some).

It does seem to function almost exactly the same as apt-get. I don't really know anything much about it though other than it's a breeze to use :)

I tried "pico" and "links" but it doesn't seem to know them.

There are various repositories with different sets of packages in them, though I don't have their addresses to hand. RPM is also installed in Fedora, which is almost as quick and hassle-free.

I'm not sure about the apache upgrade, it's most likely not on the repositories but some of the important fixes will have been backported (usually security fixes). If you still really want to upgrade, then check out this page:
