Hey guys,
The setup right now is postfix with amavis. amavis I configured to use spamassassin, razor, and clamav. Anyone have a suggestion to replace Amavis and ClamAV? Right now Amavis is taking up 18MB and ClamAV 12MB of RAM.

| If you are just looking to filter SPAM, you can dtch Amavis and just use spamassassin. For email virus scanning and spam filtering, I don't think there is anything better (and free) like Amavis. |

There's MailScanner (http://www.mailscanner.info/, Debian package "mailscanner"), but I don't know how good it is. I'm running clamav+amavis+spamassassin, and see what you mean:
amavis ... 18m ... amavisd-new
root ... 17m ... clamd
However, I'm not sure I'll switch to mailscanner... Although it takes some memory, amavis+clamav work quite well (BTW, I got absolutely no reports of viruses after having installed clamav). |
