Configure Debian Backports

In the /etc/apt/sources.list file add the following line: 

  deb http://www.backports.org/debian/ sarge-backports main

To configure backport packages add /etc/preferences file with the backports you want. 

 Package: <BACKPORT_NAME>
 Pin: release a=sarge-backports
 Pin-Priority: 999
