NetBSD
From LinodeWiki
While Linode is officially "Linux-node", since it uses Xen paravirtualization and has pv-grub available, any Xen guest will, in theory, work. Linode permits this, though it is unsupported.
NetBSD works fine on Linode and a small number of users do use it.
[edit] Howto guides
- Exasperation has written a guide NetBSD Howto which involves using NetBSD's XEN install images to boot into the normal NetBSD sysinst and install directly on the Linode. This is probably the easier method.
- Another method involving making disk images (or using a premade disk image) on a local computer then transferring it over to the Linode is available at the NetBSD by premade disk images howto.
