How do I install a specific version of Ubuntu?

I want to install an older version Ubuntu (12.04LTS) on Linode, how to do that?

We have a guide on installing a custom distro that may help.

In short, you'll need to create a disk for the install image of the distro you'd like to install, then boot up your Linode with the install disk and use Glish to install the distro to your Linode's data disk. Then, you can boot up the Linode with the data disk normally.
