Why do the alerts have dark text on dark background?

There is an issue at one of the data centers and my account shows an alert message near the top right. But when I click on it I can only see the title, no the body text.

It turns out the text is there, it's just nearly impossible to read without highlighting because it's almost the same color as the background.
