How do I install ionCube Encoder for PHP 7.1?

Linode Staff

I have some older files that were encoded by ionCube Encoder for PHP 5.6, which I am unable to use on my current server. The error message is indicating I need to use ionCube Encoder for PHP 7.1. How can I go about updating this for my server?

It looks like you can download a copy from Ioncube's "Loaders" page. I also found a few additional links that may be able to assist you with downloading and installing this on your server.

I highly recommend backing up your server before performing any installations and updates. If you haven't done so already, you can subscribe to our Backup Service and take a manual snapshot of your server before performing the installation.
