Can't see static site without index.html

I uploaded a static site exported by Hugo in this bucket:
https://my-static-site-bucket.us-east-1.linodeobjects.com
When I go to the URL, I can't see anything.
But I can see the site if I go to https://my-static-site-bucket.us-east-1.linodeobjects.com/index.html#
What am I doing wrong?

Your bucket's endpoint should also include website- in the URL before your region, similar to this:
https://my-static-site-bucket.website-us-east-1.linodeobjects.com
The reason you can see your site using the bucket URL+index.html is because you're actually telling your browser to view your index.html file in the bucket itself, rather than the web endpoint (the one that contains the website- part).
