Setting Reverse DNS For IPv6

I'm having difficulty setting up reverse DNS. I was able to do it for IPv4 but when I try to edit it for IPv6 I get the following message which doesn't make sense to me.

"a matching forward entry. If your entry was added to your domain service recently, it may take some time for the changes to propagate."

What does this mean?

Another questions, how long does it take reverse DNS to propogate. I see it has a TTL of 24 hours. The changes I made a couple hours ago to the reverse DNS to IPv4 don't seem to be in effect anywhere.
