Emails sent to Gmail and Domain do not get delivered

Hello, we run an e-commerce store using WordPress and the WooCommerce plugin.

We receive email notifications when an order is placed via Gmail and Zoho mail (Zoho Mail seems to be working fine)

When a customer places an order and provides an email using Gmail, the customer doesn't get to receive emails.

I have tested with Outlook and order notifications seems to work well.

But Emails to Gmail and domain do not get received.

I used a log to check if this mails get sent when triggered and they do but they don't get sent to Gmail and the domain specific mail.

I have SPF record and rDNS setup working fine.

Not sure if this is related but here if delivery error emails from on of the emails sent

Again, without access to your setup, it’s hard to say.

I would look at your main ordering mechanism (WooCommerce?) configuration. Typos, non-existent mailboxes, etc.

Gmail doesn't like zohomail.com's DMARC policy…if it even has one (my guess is that it doesn't). You'll have to contact the administrator of zohomail.com about this.

Thanks @stevewi for pointing out the Zoho DMARC issue.

But here is the current situation.

We are no longer using Zoho mail and the mails still don't delivered to GMail and to the domain emails, yet get delivered to Outlook

Perhaps one of your other DNS records (MX) points to zohomail.com? Does your web app/plugin config need to be updated?

-- sw

@stevewi MX records points to Bluehost

I dunno what to tell you… Some part of your setup is using zohomail.com and Google thinks email coming from there is unauthenticated because of zohomail.com's incorrect or too-lax DMARC policy. That's your problem.

Without access to your Linode account, it's impossible for me to give a more accurate diagnosis. You need to take it from here…

@stevewi I found out some configs still had Zohomail, i have been able to remove all. Now emails to Gmail now get delivered.

However there is a specific Gmail account which we set to be the main account to receive order notifications, this particular email doesn't receive order notifications, not even in the spam folder.

What could be the cause?
