Not sure if Spam Assassin is actually working

I've set up my email as per the article in the linode library on Ubuntu 10.04 (http://library.linode.com/email/postfix … 0.04-lucid">http://library.linode.com/email/postfix/dovecot-mysql-ubuntu-10.04-lucid) and then I configured Amavis-new and Spamassassin as per this article: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PostfixAmavisNew but the headers which are meant to be set in the email headers are not. All I see is the X-Virus-Scanned header set my amavis but nothing from Spamassassin.

The logs show the following:

does that mean that Spam Assassin is running correctly within the Amavis service? Is there a better log to look at? I'm a bit lost here.

Thanks for any help.

In your amavis config set sataglevel_deflt low (-1000 or so). This will make spamassassin put headers in every mail, even clean ones. Look for headers starting X-Spam….

If you don't see these check your content filter settings and make sure spamassassin is enabled….
