PBX / Asterisk / FreePBX StackScript

PBX in 1 click.

Deploy this stack script and you'll get FreePBX w/ Asterisk.

For the stackscript all you need to do is enter:

1. FQDN

2. MySQL password

3. Watch the stack script from the LISH console

Once completed -

Then goto : http://x.x.x.x/admin

username : admin

password : admin

What would be left to do?

1. Add extensions

2. Add devices

3. Add trunking (incoming and outgoing lines)

Recommendations:

1. SIP in not secure so you should make sure all passwords are COMPLEX

2. Lock down your server with a firewall

BTW - Linodes policy of incoming bandwidth free is perfect for VoIP.

We've found that 512MB RAM PBXs can easily handle busy offices up to 100+ phones.

Bandwidth will vary on amount of phone calls, but linode is still the lowest latency (which is really what you want) and cheaper than rackspace.
