What to expect as you engage with the Linode recruiting team.

Getting Hired

After you submit your application we want you to know what you can expect from us. Each role has a unique process, though it will look something like this:


Step 1

Complete your profile and apply for the job

Our Talent Acquisition team will review your application and reach out to the most qualified candidates

Step 3

Phone Interview with the Hiring Manager

Step 4

Submit a work example - typically through HackerRank

Step 5

Onsite interview with a few members of the team

FAQs on the Hiring Process

What do you look for in a candidate?
Beyond the minimum requirements for the role, aptitude and passion are among the major criteria we look for in candidates. We want to see that you not only have the skills to take on the role, but you also have the skills to adapt to how the role and our technology might evolve over time. Our employees and customers are extremely passionate about technology and we look for people who share that excitement with us.

What should I wear?
Our office is a casual environment- so we encourage you to dress nicely, neatly, and in something you are comfortable in.

Is there parking?
We have a small parking lot located at 100 N. 3rd Street, right across from the side entrance to our building that we can reserve space in for you. Just let your recruiter know!

What can I expect after my interview?
After the interview you can expect the recruiter to follow up within a few days to discuss any additional questions/concerns you may have along with next steps and where we are at in the hiring process.

When should I arrive? 
We encourage you to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your interview in order to allow some time for check-in and for your interview to begin promptly.

Do I need to bring anything?
Just bring yourself! We've got you covered if you need anything like a pen, water, notebook, coffee, etc.
