VLANs - Guides
Linode’s VLANs (Virtual Local Area Networks) feature allows you to create private L2 networks in the cloud where Linodes can communicate privately and securely. Two or more Linodes connected via the VLAN can see each other as if they were directly connected to the same physical Ethernet network.
Attaching a VLAN to a Linode: Add a Linode to your VLAN’s private network.
Detaching a Linode from a VLAN: Remove a Linode from your VLAN’s private network.
Manually Configuring a VLAN on a Linode: Manually configure an attached VLAN by adjusting a Linode’s internal network configuration files.
These additional guides explore targeted topics related to Virtual LANs.
Getting Started with VLANs: An introduction to VLANs, including how to create and administer them within the Cloud Manager.
VLAN Use Cases: Learn how VLANs can be utilized by exploring some common scenarios.
- Creating a Private Network Using Linode API and Linode VLAN: This guide shows you how to create a VLAN and attach Linodes to it using the Linode APIv4.
