En septembre 2020, nous avons commencé à travailler à la mise à niveau de notre centre de données d'Atlanta. Nous sommes heureux d'annoncer que ces travaux sont terminés et que le centre de données d'Atlanta mis à niveau est disponible pour tous les clients Linode, y compris les nouveaux déploiements dans la région.

Clients actuels
Les ressources déployées à Atlanta ont été prises en charge pendant la mise à niveau et les clients ont été contactés via des tickets d'assistance Linode pour toute notification ou étape suivante. Si vous rencontrez des problèmes avec vos Linodes à Atlanta, contactez le support si vous avez besoin d'aide.
Nouveaux clients et clients potentiels
Mise à jour (17 mars 2021) : Le nouveau centre d'Atlanta est disponible pour les nouveaux clients. Sélectionnez "Atlanta" dans le menu déroulant du centre de données dans Cloud Manager pour créer de nouvelles ressources.
Mise à jour (9/2/2020) : Les nouveaux déploiements à Atlanta ne seront pas disponibles pour les nouveaux clients jusqu'à ce que la mise à niveau des installations soit terminée. Nous nous excusons pour tout inconvénient que cela pourrait causer.

DigitalOcean does not have a DC in the South of North America.
Vultr has Atlanta & Miami but they seem to always have very limited resources (specifically servers) available.
“add recent products to Atlanta” i hope this would mean “Block Storage” and upcoming Managed databases.
we typically see cloud providers competing with new products/services but putting the time and investment on the actual infrastructure gives me greater peace of mind, confidence and trust.
who will not love “100 percent uptime DC SLA” ?

Hey Doug! That’s not something I’m aware of. We’ll be sure to make an announcement once Block Storage is available in Atlanta!

Hey Hansen – thanks for your question regarding GDPR. While we cannot offer legal advice or counseling, I think the following Community Questions post should help with some clarification. It includes links to some relevant resources that provide more information:
Linode GDPR and EU-US Privacy Shield Compliance
GDPR is a resolution that was passed by the EU, this then had to be implemented into member states laws. In the UK (which was a member of the EU at the time) this was done by passing the Data Protection Act 2018.
As such the “UK GDPR” is the law enacted by the Data Protection Act 2018, and is compliant with the rules that were required by the EU’s GDPR. There’s no functional difference other than the fact that the UK is no longer part of the EU.
