The Linode Partner Program added new features this year, avoiding the tactics favored by large hyperscalers that foster adversarial relationships with partners.
PHILADELPHIA, November 2, 2021— CHANNEL PARTNERS CONFERENCE & EXPO — Alternative cloud provider Linode added more than 150 new participants in its Linode Partner Program since the beginning of 2021, driven by predictable pricing, product training, marketing resources and a new Partner Portal. The program has attracted a diverse group of nearly 350 participants, including value-added resellers, distributors, system integrators, digital agencies, managed service providers, and enterprise software vendors. Linode made the growth figures public at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo, taking place this week in Las Vegas. Linode is exhibiting at booth 1230.
New partners in the program include BionicWP, a managed hosting provider, Tugboat, a web development agency and Parablu, a SaaS innovator that relies on Linode to support its backup and recovery offerings.
“Our clients are large entities housing massive amounts of data in different places,” said Matt Westgate, CEO of Tugboat. “Linode’s exceptional customer service, fixed pricing model, and easy-to-use structure has proven to be a harmonious fit for the needs of our infrastructure at Tugboat.” Learn more about Tugboat and Linode at Craft of Code.
“Joining the Linode Partner Program provides an amazing set of new benefits,” said Anand Prahlad, president and CEO of Parablu. “Apart from the automatic price discounts, the sandbox credits are extremely useful. They let us run customer trials apart from our paid Linode account, moving their workloads over once they become paying users. It’s a win-win. Our dedicated solution engineer has also been a huge plus. It’s another layer to Linode’s great technical support that we’ve been receiving since becoming a Linode customer four years ago.”
The Linode Partner Program was launched in 2020 and eliminates the roadblocks to success that disproportionately impact small and mid-market resellers. These roadblocks—often found in the partner programs run by hyperscale cloud providers—include quotas, penalties and proprietary services that compete directly with their partners.
The Linode Partner Program gives participants resources that include product training, co-branded sales content, white papers and ebooks. This is in addition to dedicated technical support. The Linode Partner Portal, launched this year, was built to provide a hub for Linode partners to quickly access these resources. The program emphasizes collaboration to help partners innovate, modernize infrastructure and deliver digital experiences through the Linode cloud. In the Linode Partner Program, each participant receives a dedicated partner success manager as well as customer support from a human being that is available 24/7/365 at no extra cost.
“When we launched the program, we wanted to build something that would help small and medium size resellers succeed financially and not punish them for being too small to matter to massive hyperscalers,” said Jonathan Hill, Vice President of Revenue Operations at Linode. “As we’ve grown the program over the past two years, we’ve more clearly identified the types of partners who are a great fit for what the Linode Partner Program has to offer. Our program’s focus on smaller and mid-market resellers led us to add elements to our program that are of greatest value to that segment, and the response has been more enthusiastic than we could have imagined a year ago.”
Another addition coming to the program later this year is the Linode Partner Directory. The Directory is a way for customers to discover and learn about which Linode partners are ideally suited to their needs, as well as to quickly facilitate lead sharing among partners.
The Linode Partner Program has three partnership levels:
- Essential—for early stage and growing organizations building out their cloud solutions
- Professional—for experienced Linode partners looking for greater support and benefits
- Strategic—for larger companies requiring dedicated solution engineers and customer success resources, along with custom marketing support
