A Linode Shell, ou lish, é o pequeno script que roda quando você se conecta ao host (username@hostX.linode.com) para acesso ao console.
Lish agora avisa se quiser voltar a tentar ligar console, em vez de apenas tentar voltar a ligar tantas vezes e depois desligar.
Isto também resolve o problema para as pessoas que se desviam do ecrã e são imediatamente reatacadas.

NOTA: Existe um bug restante - se emitir um reboot ou desligar o programa Lish, o programa Lish é morto. Eventualmente, a Lish não o fará para que não tenha de voltar a ligar-se ao anfitrião.

This is now fixed. Lish doesn’t get killed when the cleanup procedure runs on the host.
Also, the “[i]uml-leaving a thread behind and keeping the filesystems locked bug[/i]” is also fixed, since the cleanup script now does a seek and destroy mission on your pids as a last resort. Even with the newest procps, skill wasn’t finding all the threads.
