Thanks Linode staff!

Thanks! The gifts just keep coming 8)
Thanks a lot!
I Should really consider rebooting, to take advantage of the last two or three upgrades 🙂

Unreal! 🙂
As an academic exercise, I’ve been looking at what other VPS companies provide and besides not coming close to what Linode offers, there’s just not that feel of solidity that I’ve been getting with Linode for the past two years.

Done! And with pleasure!

And I always thought Santa lived in the North Pole 😉
Merry Xmas To All!
Wow, thanks Santa!
EDIT:
Can you give us a link to a few "Powered by Linode"-icons we can include at the bottom of our webpages?
[quote:9da3bffcf0=”caker”]we would appreciate it if you could spread the word about Linode by posting about us in your blogs and linking to our site
I don’t do blatant advertising, but I do mention linode at times, especially when it’s relevant in context. For example, today’s LJ entry. I also present it as a potential solution in other fora when people ask for a cheap service. I’ve no idea if this resulted in any sales for you, though 🙂
Amazing thanks!!! 😀 😀
wow, I hardly ever check in here on the forum, and every time I do, we seem to get more RAM! I should check in more often!

Thanks. Can you create an official logo that looks like this?

I used http://cooltext.com/ to generate this one but the letter "n" doesn’t look that good.
So, do you guys ever stop giving?
Thanks for the upgrade, Linode all the way!
Thanks a lot!
Personally, I’m spreading the word at work, few of my co-workers are really impressed with the idea! 😉
Jeebus, I remember when my machine was a piddly Linode 64 🙂
Thanks, Linode. I really must find some more stuff to do with mine.
I split a linode 50/50 with a friend well over a year and a half ago, and semi-recently bought my own once we stopped paying for that.
I’ve been a customer since September and I’ve only had upgrade after upgrade. I had one kernel panic, and then noticed a few weeks later a new kernel fixing the problem (note: I only had the kernel panic once).
Keep it up, and at this rate, you’ll have a lot of happy customers 🙂
I’m so glad I switched to linode for my vps hosting. You guys are awesome.
Oh no! The usual long line of people fighting over to have caker’s (and rest of Linode, Inc.) baby! 🙂
Thanks guys! It’s amazing. I’ve gone from a Linode 256 to a Linode 720 at no extra cost over two years. Truly something. And, yes, I do use the memory well. It’s lessened the mem pressure on my Linode to next-to-nothing and also reduced some of the I/O load.

This isn’t official in any way, shape or form (I’m not Linode staff), but I took that logo, cleaned it up a bit, and added Linode’s cube symbol, which you might like to try:

I’m new here. It’s great to see welcoming bonus like that. 🙂

Thanks! I like them both and will use one of them. Probably the all green one.
No probs! I would ask that if you do use them, though, save them onto your own server – don’t use them directly from my server, if possible. Thanks. 🙂

Of course I’ll respect your bandwidth. Thanks again for sharing your work.

Happy New Years to the Linode team and all of you,
Frank
http://www.frank4dd.com/
I too remember when my linodes were on the linode 64 plan. It was a great deal then for root control of an online box not owned by my employer. It just keeps getting better.
Caker, you have a great thing going. I pay a year at a time and get a little extra disk space. I hardly ever use the linode dashboard or need customer service…. Why, simply because linode works, day in, day out, my linode is always there trouble free! Then when I log in after months of being away from the dashboard, I find that plans have become even more bang for the buck… and caker has made sure that his loyal customers are getting the same great deal that linode is using to attract new customers.
Thanks again Linode.com, Ill continue to speak the linode faith, have a nother great year!
Nathalie
Got to echo what nathalie says above.
I just rebooted after Chris told me (on IRC) that it was needed to use the additional RAM. The uptime was 64 days and so predated when the increased RAM was allocated.
I too pay yearly and the extra disk space looks like it’ll come in handy since it’s at 50% utilization already.
After spending the previous year with Virpus which began excellently and then got progressively worse, the last three months have been like a vacation.
Can’t recommend Linode highly enough for reliability, control via dashboard, and of course the highly competent and friendly support including by instant chat on IRC.
We are missing for another 20% upgrade!
