Siamo lieti di annunciare che gli aggiornamenti del piano sono ora disponibili a Fremont, ma non nella Fremont che vi aspettavate. Nelle prossime settimane trasferiremo tutte le nostre infrastrutture dalla struttura FMT1 di Hurricane Electric alla struttura FMT2, che si trova a pochi chilometri di distanza. FMT2 è una struttura moderna, che consideriamo un grande miglioramento rispetto alle vecchie limitazioni di potenza e di spazio di FMT1.
Abbiamo collegato entrambe le sedi alla stessa LAN layer-2, quindi non c'è bisogno di scambi di IP, non c'è alcuna interruzione nel supporto del failover IP, la rete privata funzionerà come previsto, ecc. In sostanza, abbiamo creato un'unica grande LAN, nonostante l'hardware e i Linodes siano presenti in entrambe le strutture.
D'ora in poi, tutti i nuovi Linode creati a Fremont atterreranno nella nuova struttura. Eseguendo l'aggiornamento del piano o il ridimensionamento del Linode si passerà alla nuova struttura. Questo avviene in base all'ordine di arrivo, poiché la disponibilità della struttura è limitata fino a quando non avremo spostato fisicamente il resto dell'hardware da FMT1.
Per coloro che hanno aggiornamenti in sospeso, è possibile accedere a Linode Manager, visualizzare la Dashboard del proprio Linode, dove sarà presente una nuova casella "Aggiornamento disponibile" sul lato destro. L'aggiornamento vi consentirà di aggiornare e migrare contemporaneamente a FMT2.
Chi non è ancora iscritto a FMT2 riceverà dei biglietti con i dettagli della finestra di manutenzione e del trasferimento nella nuova struttura. Restate sintonizzati!

After flawless migrations of all 9 of our linodes, and seeing about a 20 – 30% improvement, we have one question.
While df indicates the additional disk space, it is not indicated on the dashboard and is not available for resizing an ext.
