Abbiamo rilasciato una nuova versione di Linode Manager con molte novità. Oltre a una riorganizzazione del codice (che rende felici noi sviluppatori), sono state riorganizzate anche le posizioni di molte funzioni preesistenti. Ma la vera novità è che questo ci ha permesso di implementare alcune funzioni interessanti...
Accesso singolo
- Più Linode possono ora essere gestiti in modo molto più intuitivo con un unico account Linode.com.
- Non è più necessario collegare più conti tra loro.
- I linodi possono essere etichettati con un'etichetta che si può cambiare in qualsiasi momento, il che rende molto più facile l'identificazione di più linodi.
- Aggiungere un Linode al proprio account è un gioco da ragazzi. È facile come: "Aggiungi un Linode" dalla sotto-tabella Linodes, selezionare il piano e confermare. Fatto.
- Una funzione molto richiesta: ora è possibile cambiare il proprio nome utente in qualsiasi momento. Amen.
Supporto multiutente
- È ora possibile creare altri utenti Linode.com in grado di accedere al proprio account.
- Il nostro sistema consente ora di limitare l'accesso di un utente a specifici Linode, zone DNS o persino di creare un utente "solo per la fatturazione".
- L'impostazione della preferenza del fuso orario è ora per utente anziché per cliente
Fatturazione per giorno d'istanza
- Simile a EC2 di Amazon, questa funzione consente di aggiungere Linode o extra e di ricevere un credito proporzionale sul proprio account quando li si rimuove. Questa funzione è perfetta per progetti o compiti a breve termine (o se volete mostrare ai vostri amici quanto è bello Linode senza dare loro accesso al vostro server di produzione).
Persistenza dell'account Linode.com
- Se si rimuovono tutti i Linode dal proprio account (ma non si annulla l'account), il login a Linode.com rimarrà valido.
- È possibile tornare in qualsiasi momento e utilizzare il credito residuo.
- Le vostre zone DNS rimarranno, ma non saranno servite a meno che non abbiate un Linode fatturabile.
Console AJAX basata sul web
- Anche se l'abbiamo implementato molti mesi fa, non c'è stato alcun annuncio ufficiale. Bene, c'è l'accesso alla console del browser per il vostro Linode.
- La console del browser vi autentica automaticamente. Non è più necessario inserire il nome utente e la password.
- C'è un server di console in ogni data center. L'avvio della console indirizza l'utente al server della console nello stesso data center di Linode.
Grafici
- Grafici dell'IO del disco per completare i grafici della CPU e della rete
- Una nuova interfaccia per la cronologia dei grafici
Biglietti di supporto
- I ticket possono essere aperti per un oggetto specifico (un Linode o una zona DNS).
- Tutti gli utenti con accesso a quell'oggetto potranno vedere il ticket, ricevere aggiornamenti via e-mail e partecipare al ticket.

Btw, if it’s possible, could you also put the host’s hostname (which host the Linode is on) in the Linode Manager front page (which lists all Linodes linked to the account) as well? For example, right before or right after the Location column?

You should feature the instance-day billing on the front page it is a very appealing feature.
I thought I’d read about it somewhere on your site, but I was having a hard time finding it until I decided to work my way back through your blog. Even then, I almost missed it.
The Linode manager is an accessible web-based software interface to Windows screen readers, I must say.
The only application wich doesn’t work too well is the Ajax console, but oh well.
Otherwise, it’s an amazing manager!
I would happily refer over 10 billion new customers to Linode!
