Should hostname and FQDM be different?

Hi Everyone,

I'm very new at this, and after doing it once and having my wordpress crash I'm trying again!

I was going through the "Before you Begin" on this ~~[https://www.linode.com/docs/websites/cms/how-to-install-and-configure-wordpress" target="_blank">](https://www.linode.com/docs/websites/cm … -wordpress">https://www.linode.com/docs/websites/cms/how-to-install-and-configure-wordpress]( and my hostname is good (the same thing I remember setting up earlier), but the FQDN is printing out the same hostname. Shouldn't this be my domain name?
