Does Linode block any ports?

We don't block any ports by default, aside from UDP traffic over port 11211, so if you create a new Linode you'll be able to use any port right away.

We block UDP traffic for port 11211 at the edge of our network in order to mitigate memcached amplification attacks. There's more info on the subject here.
