Why is my IPv6 address being refused by Wikimedia?

I'm being refused editing access on Wikimedia with the following message:

You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason:

Your IP address is in a range that has been blocked on all Wikimedia Foundation wikis.

The block was made by Trijnstel (meta.wikimedia.org). The reason given is Open proxy: Linode (+2600:3C03:0:0:F03C:91FF:FE70:63CA).

Start of block: 22:32, 24 July 2018
Expiry of block: 22:32, 24 July 2023

Your current IP address is 2600:3c00:e001:5e06:5518:29c9:5d74:1467 and the blocked range is 2600:3C00:0:0:0:0:0:0/30. Please include all above details in any queries you make.

If you believe you were blocked by mistake, you can find additional information and instructions in the No open proxies global policy. Otherwise, to discuss the block please post a request for review on Meta-Wiki or send an email to the stewards OTRS queue at stewards@wikimedia.org including all above details.

Why is this happening? My v6 address is from a /56 block assigned to me by Linode for use on our LAN, and as far as the Internet is concerned, 2600:3c00:e001:5e06:5518:29c9:5d74:1467 should be assigned to my company, and in fact reverse-resolves to my desktop system. I don't understand why an entire range of Linode addresses would be designated as "open proxy", or what this even means.

/30 is a pretty big range of addresses to block especially in IPv6-land.

I would reach out to Linode support and see if they can work with Wikimedia to either reduce the scope of the block to a smaller range that was causing them issues or to remove the block entirely.

assigned to me by Linode for use on our LAN

As far as I’m aware Linode do not assign IPv6 pools for use on your LAN - they can only be used to route traffic for the specific Linode they are assigned to.

as far as the Internet is concerned, 2600:3c00:e001:5e06:5518:29c9:5d74:1467 should be assigned to my company

This isn’t the case - the IPs still belong to Linode, they are just allocated to you for the time in which your Linode is active. The internet will not know they are allocated to you; only that they belong to Linode.
