Install JetPack plugin

Hi,

I have setup a website with wordpress using the marketplace one-click setup of wordpress.

I have installed several plugins, among those the JetPack plugin. However when I try to setup JetPack I get an error saying that

"The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site https://172.105.246.247 [HTTP 403]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: http://jetpack.com/support/"

Do I have to do something on the server side to allow connections from WordPress.com?

Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,
Michael

When I access the link in your post, I get a message saying "This connection is not private". I saw your Let's Encrypt cert and that looks ok.

My conclusion would be that SSL on your WP site is not set up correctly. Check your web server configuration.

That being said, when I looked at your cert, my browser told me the names didn’t match. The cert was issued with the name “linode-members…”. If your Linode has a domain name, you should prob have the cert issued with your domain name. This is a simple Lets Encrypt config fix.
