How do I install TrueNAS 12 on Linode?

I have found instructions on how to install FreeNAS on Linode. I am attempting to follow these instructions but trying to install TrueNAS 12 instead of FreeNAS; I point to https://download.freenas.org/12.0/STABLE/U6/x64/TrueNAS-12.0-U6.iso instead of https://download.freenas.org/11/latest/x64/FreeNAS-11.1-U4.iso. I think I am switching the sda/sdb at some point because the second configuration also boots the TrueNAS installer instead of the TrueNAS OS.

I also found these instructions. I can get to the point where it boots the TrueNAS OS … but the IP Address is showing 0.0.0.0, so I cannot access it with my web browser.

If you can point me towards another set of instructions or can provide some info, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

TrueNAS OS is FreeBSD 12. Most likely you didn't answer the installer question about "getting the IP address with DHCP" correctly. The answer to that question needs to be YES (for BOTH IPv4 and IPv6).

FreeBSD does not have the Linux NetworkManager to handle this for you.

@stevewi Thanks for the reply. I do not recall the installer prompting about DHCP. I will look for it when I try this again.
