Why is Linode BLOCKING access to protonmail?

I have a linode instance with openVPN to bypass country restrictions where i am right now.
I am tunneling with an OpenVPN server on port 443.
protonmail.com, proton.me is being blocked by the Linode IP i am using to get online.

Are we all forced to use Gmail now and have our asses sniffed / in check by the big tech companies?

After some fiddling around i found out access to the domains i mentioned is spotty, everything else works. there is no miss configuration on the VPN, it is in vanilla state as it comes from the OpenVPN Server access.

I did not know "big tech companies" qualify as personal political beliefs, and if anyone wants to live in denial about the blatantly gross over control of what can or can not be done online by not abiding to their systems the way they want to in order to revenue as much as possible while forcing small businesses to play within their boundaries or cease to exist, well… enjoy living under the carpet.

Thanks

Worked for me (without a VPN).

This is not the best look for you…nor the best foot to start out on when asking a fairly knowledgeable community (which includes some Linode staff but are mostly non-Linode volunteers) for help…

I suggest you look at your VPN configuration and/or review the "country restrictions" before making assertions not based in fact and accusations based on personal political beliefs.

Of course a "small tech" company that dabbles in open-source can never make a mistake or steer you wrong… Everyone knows that!

You seem very sure about this. Can you articulate your reasons for believing you’re correct?

Thank you for validating my point.
