Configure Certbot/Nignx/SSL

Greetings.
I have a website running, it works.
I have certbot working, it made a certificate!
I have email working, it sends, it doesn't? receive

However, no matter how I configure the nginx files, I can't seem to get the SSL working.

I tested the certificate with a website, AND Thunderbird, and they both say the same thing "The SSL certificate exists but is for a different website than the name specified"

Well how can it be? I only have one domain. I followed the Linode video, went down a rabbit hole of .conf files, but most of the information is out of date.

The nginx.conf file doesn't like the "http" section. Fine, I just add SSL_Cert file locaions in a random spot - works fine! Still, I don't have a secure connection.

Thoughts? I'm really puzzled.

Use this command:

openssl x509 -noout -text -in /the/path/to/cert.pem

and make sure that

        Subject: CN = mywebsite.com

matches the URL of your site.

If they don't match, generate a new cert that does and expire the old one…or change the URL of your website.

They do match. Openssl reports the same url as is in the A listing.

Well, I gave it my best shot… I don't know anything about nginx. My only other suggestion is to make sure nginx is configured correctly.
