Terminal Emulator under xfce does not work

Did anyone lese have this problem, or know a solution for this:

I installed Ubuntu and XFCE on a Linode. I installed a few standard software packages, mainly SOLR, Firefox and PHP. Since yesterday I cannot launch the terminal emulator when I use the xfce Desktop via Glish. When I click the terminal symbol or select it on the menu, just nothing happens. All other applications seem to work fine.

Thanks a lot for any hints how to sove this issue!

Problem is already solved. It seems that xfce4-terminal was not installed (and I guess I did not test it when I installed xfce). The following two steps solved the problem:

sudo apt-get install xfce4-terminal
sudo update-alternatives --config x-terminal-emulator

and then select xfce4-terminal
