Subdomain in Nginx problem

Hi Team,

I have registered and setup a domain xyz.com with Nginx on Ubuntu 22.04 and it works great !

However, when I add a subdomain it does not seem to work. I don't it is a problem with Nginx configuratio. Seems to be an issue with DNS Config because "dig +short sub.xyz.com" gives incorrect IP address. Also "host sub.xyz.com" gives "Host sub.xyz.com not found: 2(SERVFAIL)" error.

Both these commands work correctly however for xyz.com.
Let me know what I am missing.

Thanks,
Sundar

Here's the way I have a subdomain set up in my DNS zone:

A/AAAA Record

Hostname IP Address TTL
-------- ---------- ---
mydomain.com aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd Default
sub aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd Default

Note that the subdomain is just sub…and not sub.domain.com.
