slow network speed

Hi, I am with Linode Frement, but to my surprise, the wget download speed from Frement to their Tokyo node is only about 599KB/S, if you are also with Linode, would appreciate it if you can test using the command below, thanks in advance!

wget -O /dev/null http://speedtest.tokyo.linode.com/100MB-tokyo.bin

or

wget freevps.us/downloads/bench.sh -O - -o /dev/null|bash

I'm seeing 7.03 MB/s from Tokyo to a Newark Linode.

thanks and I am totally confused by the slow fact, and linode failed to figure out too.

I'm also on Fremont and noticed very slow (20-50 kb/s) when doing Ubuntu updates the last week or so. I don't know if it is Linode or the Ubuntu servers.

I got 7.52 MB/s on your Tokyo test.

Are you saying you filed a Support Ticket with Linode?
