Cannot boot server - plymouth command not found?

I created a virtual server on my end with Oracle Linux and installed Oracle 12

Transferred the files to my linode server

Now cannot boot the server (no problem booting in virtual mode.

Has anyone ever had issues similar to the error i am seeing below.

I see this error on the rescue console as i try to boot the linode

/etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit: line 679: plymouth: command not found

/dev/fd/8: line 2: /bin/awk: Too many levels of symbolic links

init: rcS post-stop process (3146) terminated with status 1
