Extracting Data From Longview

Hi,

I have Longview Pro set up to monitor the two servers I need to look after. At the moment I have a screen that displays two Firefox windows with the Longview graphs in either window, tiled side by side.

The problem I have is that I'd like to see the following data on just one screen, but can't seem to find any API etc to do so:

  • CPU Load

  • RAM Use

  • Network Traffic

  • Disk Use

What I'd like to get hold of is API access or a JSON feed that I could then manipulate myself and display on a custom dashboard. That way I can have all the information I need on just one screen that I could then access via my work PC or mobile phone when I need to easily.

Does anyone know if the above is possible?

Hey

I'm not aware of any API to access Longview information (though I agree this would be really useful!).

As an alternative, I'd suggest New Relic's free server monitoring service (https://newrelic.com/server-monitoring) which exposes this same information over their API (e.g. https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/apis/res … ic-data-v2">https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/apis/rest-api-v2/server-examples-v2/list-your-server-id-metric-data-v2).
