what to do with new linode?

Long time linoder, first time poster…

So… I had 2 $10 nodes - one for mail, primary dns, and web for a few domains with very light traffic with the second being backup dns and backup mx along with some lamp stuff for me to play with.

But hey, $5 nodes? Took my secondary and split it in to two $5 nodes. So now I have a spare node…

What should I do? Host an old school classic QuakeWorld server? Learn a new distribution (I'm a Debian fan, so redhat/centos maybe?) ? Figure out how to run tomcat and such, even though I think java is terrible for doing front end work on the web (no, I don't expect performance out of a $5 node and tomcat/java? Experiment with node.js or some other web application stack as a replacement/tie in with the traditional LAMP setup?
