How do I set up a monitor on my Linode?

Linode Staff

I had an issue with my website being offline for a few days and I want to set up an option for notifications to be sent to my email so I can fix the issue.

Hey there

We have a few guides that may help with this and I also found another solution in my searches online. This link will give you our monitoring and maintaining your server guide. This is a nice overview of options and first steps.

There is a service called Monit that may work for your needs as well. Our guide here will help you go through the process of installing Monit.

I also spoke with some colleagues here at the office and one of them suggested the free software Vesta

Hopefully this helps! Let us know if you need anything else.
