IPv6 Addresses after migration?

Linode Staff

A few years back I requested a block of IPv6 addresses and have been using them without issue. I recently migrated my Linode from the Newark to the Atlanta datacenter and now all my IPv6 addresses seem to be having issues.

Hey!
When you migrate to a new datacenter you'll need to contact support to have a
pool allocated to your Linode. A few more important things to keep in mind:

  • you'll want to Disable the Network Helper on the Linode for which you want to manually assign, otherwise it will overwrite them
  • Reboot the Linode (or restart your network service if you want to avoid downtime) to implement the new addresses
  • There's a guide on Linux Static IP Configurations
    Hope that's helpful!
