What errors are you getting?

nf:conntrack: default automatic helper assignment has been turned off for security reasons and CT-based firewall rule not found. Use the iptables CT target to attach helpers instead.

The error sounds like it's coming from CentOS. If so, I would advise a different OS for running Minecraft since CentOS has a very old version of Java by default. The 1.17 update that's coming out on June 8th (Tuesday) will require Java 16.

There's a tutorial here for installing Multicraft on Ubuntu 20.04

https://elixirnode.com/help/how-to-install-multicraft-on-ubuntu-20-04/

it's running on debian…

Debian 10 Buster or earlier? If so the Java version in the repository is going to be too low to run the new update that coming out tomorrow.

Debian 11 is coming out sometime this summer, but no release date announced yet. It will have Open-JDK 17 which will be fine.
