auditd problems

I just deployed Fedora Core 8 and in the logs I see the following:

Jun 15 10:44:26 lixx-xxx auditd[29219]: Unable to set audit pid, exiting
Jun 15 10:44:26 lixx-xxx auditd: Cannot daemonize (Success)
Jun 15 10:44:26 lixx-xxx auditd: The audit daemon is exiting.
Jun 15 10:44:26 lixx-xxx auditd[29219]: The audit daemon is exiting.

How do I fix this?
