[Looking for Paid Support] Optimizing Apache+Tomcat6+MySQL

I hope this is okay to post in this forum.

I have a java application that I am trying to bring over from an IBM iSeries running IBM Http server + WAS + DB2. The app has modified to use MySQL and I am currently testing it on Linode. I have run into some snags performance wise. On our live version of this app we get about 700-1000 requests per second. Each one of these requests makes a call to the database.

I have the app running on 5 Linode 4096's with a node balancer in front and have a Linode 16GB for a MySQL server. I brought live traffic over to this setup and it didn't handle it very well. It essentially overwhelmed tomcat on all 5 linodes and knocked the app offline.

We are looking for someone to help us tune and optimize our setup who has experience with Tomcat and MySQL in high traffic environments. PM me and I can get you a lot more detail if you are interested in helping us on this project.

Thanks!
