PV-GRUB, Hardened-Sources, and Gentoo

Hello,

I'm having a great deal of trouble getting hardened-sources working on my Gentoo installation. Every time I try to boot with the pv-grub kernel and my custom kernel, I get the following error after the grub menu:

root (hd0)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, using whole disk
kernel /boot/CURRENT root=/dev/xvda ro quiet

At which point the system shuts down. I'd appreciate any and all help; the wiki said that if I get this error I should use an initramfs, which I tried to no avail. I've since deleted said initramfs and am at a loss.

I was having a similar issue, there were a couple PaX/grsecurity options that had to be disabled. I've uploaded my config.
