Would you email your Driver's License and Credit Card?

I could not log into my account due to a new phone which did not have the old google authenticator transferred.

Contacted Linode, and they want me to EMAIL my Driver's License and Credit Card to them.

They should know better that email is not a secure way to communicate and surely they should not force me to reveal personal and financial information via email.

What do you think?

to give a picture of credit card or number details is obvious Big Mistake, anyone can use it without permission

Hey there,

We certainly understand the importance of securing your private information. As we may have mentioned in your ticket, if you prefer encrypted communication, our PGP public key can be found here:

We hope that helps.
