Has Linode added Anycast to DNS networking yet?

I saw in the 2020 roadmap blog post that Anycast networking was coming. Did that ever happen? That's the last mention of it that I can find.

Yep! Our name servers do indeed use Anycast. I don't think there is another public mention of it, so we appreciate you bringing this up here.


Is it possible to have a single IP address that routes a request to the VM nearest the requester? Or alternatively, a domain/subdomain setup to do the same?

Basically I'm looking to have a few VMs available in different geographic locations, and for requests to be sent to the one nearest the request. Much like a CDN would do. Is that possible?
