What can I do if Linode's kernel doesn't support a module I need?

I'm trying to run a service that requires a module that isn't compiled into Linode's kernel. What can I do?

If you're trying to use a module that isn't already compiled into Linode's kernel or your service doesn't recognize modules that are compiled into the kernel you might need to consider using a different kernel.

You can boot your Linode with the kernel provided by your Linux distro or even compile your own kernel. Check out our guides on the subject:
